I'm an IT Recruiting Consultant. Right now I'm on project at Allstate taking care of all their enterprise technology hiring. I'm slated to be here until the end of the year.
May be making a career change to Desk Manager for a hedge fund here in Chicago. _________________ "While people like you were hanging around in bars and crying over your first loves, I was learning how to kill people with office supplies." |

Currently I am a Site Support Specialist for GE healthcare. Which means a liason between the Supply Chain and Field teams. I also schedule all manufacturing system integration projects.
Outside of that I am going to school, also working on German and going for something in international relations. I have been moonlighting lately as an underpaid DJ for Belly Dance Events.
That is it for now. _________________ Learn something new every day, otherwise, life gets boring |

I'm a software developer and implementation project manager for Epic Systems Corporation, a medical software vendor located in Madison, Wisconsin. It's a 50+ hr/wk job, with frequent travel, but the pay is excellent, and I enjoy what I'm doing (at least so far!). _________________ "I reject your reality and substitute my own!" Adam Savage |

I'm an elementary (K-4) music teacher responsible for 14 sections of classroom music (cut back this year from 18), 2 choruses, a beginning level band, and lessons for 52 students. I also occasionally play French horn in brass quintets to get a little extra cash on the side.

I work for Chase as a Small Business Banker. The highlights are that I do commercial lending up to 5 million. Along with that I manage the deposits and types of transactions these small business do with the bank. There's more to it but it would bore the shit out of you guys. When I describe what I do to Brasky he always starts to snore on the phone. DICK! _________________ <----------Yes I think with my little head!. |

I am a Medical Interpreter and research assistant.
With the Medical Interpreting I get to do a ton of things which include (but are definitely not limited to) going on house calls with social workers, helping OBGYNs deliver babies (that was my Thursday fun), Going to neurosurgery appointments, ER calls, sleep disorder clinics, the list goes on and on. I always wanted to be a social worker, a doctor, nurse, psychologist, counselor. This way I get to do it all.
As a research assistant I work with my company, Voices for Health, on studies involving healthcare, culture, and how the two come together. Last month I finished up a project with the National Bone Marrow Donor Program, the big marrow registry in the US. They wanted us to study Spanish, Russian, and Arabic culures to see what the views and opinions were on Bone Marrow Transplants, what the general education level was, if there were any special cultural hurdles to treatment/donation, and how to best solve those hurdles. We were supposed to study Hmong but it was hard to find a viable community and then tap into it, as they are so guarded. So I make all the calls, help design the questionnaire as to how the questions will be asked, make sure IRB (Institutional Review Board) approves our study and how it is executed, get the focus groups, panel study or individual meetings set up, train note takers and moderators, gather data, compile it, and finish up with submitting the data.
I love my job. I am busy all the time, I feel like I live with my phone permanently attached to my ear, and I am on call 24-7. I do have some freedom to set my own hours as far as what assignments I will take and how much I want to interpret which allows me to go to doctor's appointments, school functions for Cecilia, and take care of Paul and his many many physical ailments. ;)
Okay, I feel like a dork for writing as essay on my job when everyone else wrote a short little blurb but I really do enjoy myself and I am so proud of myself for being able to get this job and do it well enough that I get compliments all the time. |
